Place Based Giving Impact - December 25

Our final Network Day of 2025 was a reflective and insight‑rich session focused on understanding our collective impact and shaping how we communicate the value of place based giving.

We began the morning scanning the horizon, exploring the major social, economic and community‑level trends shaping our places. This set the scene for deeper conversations about what’s emerging, what feels challenging, and what this means for the communities we support.

A central part of the day was The Power of Us, a World Café process exploring four key questions rooted in our systems change framework. Members reflected on the signs and stories that show:

  • Relationships are strengthening in their communities
  • Power is shifting toward or being shared with communities
  • Resources are flowing to where they are needed most
  • Work is centring joy, equity, life and democratic participation

These discussions continued after the break, generating a rich tapestry of insights about the role and impact of place based giving across London and beyond.

We finished the session by harvesting and sharing insights - drawing together the themes, evidence and lived experiences shared throughout the morning. This collective sense‑making will inform how we communicate with funders, partners, investors and wider stakeholders about the value and potential of giving schemes across the capital.
