New Governance Toolkit from the London's Giving team

Place-based giving is about changing how people work together and making it easy for everyone to get involved. It is not just another way of giving grants locally. Partnerships need to identify how their work contributes to a mission of social change. How is this demonstrated in our governance structures? Or to put it more simply, who makes the decisions?

We’ve seen place-based giving schemes (PBGS) really think through their principles, the way that they are governed, and the way they make decisions. To share learning with both schemes and the wider sector, we have developed a resource which builds on the experience and knowledge from across network. Click here to find out everything that you need to know about giving schemes and good governance

If you have found the resource to be useful, and would like to discuss governance challenges and opportunities with us, please do get in touch with the team as we are able to offer advice, practical support and peer learning for trustees and chairs within London’s place based giving movement.
