Our October 2025 Network Day brought together place-based giving schemes and funders from across London for a morning focused on shared learning, relationship‑building, and strengthening our collective commitment to place‑based change.
Our October network session was an 'In Conversation session with the National Lottery Community Fund, City Bridge Foundation and the Greater London Authority.
The goals of the session were to build mutual understanding, deepen relationships, and advance a shared vision for long‑term, community‑led change in local places. Members introduced their schemes, shared where they are on their journey, and reflected on the evolving landscape of place based giving across London.
A central part of the morning explored what place based giving looks like in practice with stories and presentations from across the network. Discussions covered how schemes are engaging with:
- Local economies
- Social capital and community agency
- Equity and justice
Funders shared their strategic priorities and reflections, helping deepen mutual understanding and spark open conversations about our collective ambitions.
The second half of the session focused on what needs to happen to achieve our shared vision for place based giving. Group discussions brought together funders and giving schemes to identify opportunities, gaps, and actions that could help unlock place based change. The feedback highlighted common themes, practical insights, and areas where collaboration could strengthen our collective impact.
We closed with reflections, actions, and continued conversations over a networking lunch.
